    Common. Musiq Soulchild. Earth Wind and Fire. If you’ve heard of these famous male singers before in concert, chances are you’ve probably heard of Lamar Harris, (whom has shared the stage with these and many more throughout his career). Harris has an upbeat musical sound that brings together his multiple talents as a trombonist, arranger, producer, and vocalist.

    Together with local talent Dawn Weber, Harris is sure to please more than just your eardrums this weekend. Weber a member of various St. Louis bands, has a sound that fuses together multiple music genres such as R&B, jazz, funk, salsa, and even swing.

     2. Punch Brothers Featuring Chris Thile

    What better way to spend a Friday night than by listening to the timeless sounds of the Punch Brothers? Together with Anais Mitchell, the members of the talented quintet (mandolinist Chris Thile, guitarist Chris Eldridge, bassist Paul Kowert, banjoist Noam Pikelny and violinist Gabe Witcher), are sure to be a crowd pleaser when they perform!

    Ranging in age from mid-20’s to mid-30’s, the Punch Brothers’ latest album, Who’s Feeling Young Now? has already been raved by The New Yorker as “a mystical alchemy of old-time music and contemporary sensibilities.”

    The Punch Brothers are currently featured on the Hunger Games Motion Picture Soundtrack (“Dark Days”) and on Chieftains’ 50th Anniversary disc, Voice Of Ages.

    3. Mardi Gras Wine, Beer, & Whiskey Taste

     5. Black History Month Kickoff with Robbie Montgomery

    Welcome to one of the best ways to prepare for the approaching start of Black History Month! Celebrity Robbie Montgomery (of the hit OWN network TV show Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s, and former back-up singer to legendary music duo Ike and Tina Turner), will talk to attendees at the library headquarters this Friday at 7pm.

    Following the closing of the free event, attendees will receive the opportunity to sample delicious desserts from the famous St. Louis restaurant Sweetie Pie’s. Click here for more information.

    6. Spring 2013 Opening Celebration at Mildred Kemper Art Museum

    Warm up this weekend with the Spring 2013 Opening Celebration at the Mildred Kemper Art Museum! The exhibition, which will be held at the museum on the Washington University campus, is entitled, “Face and Figure in European Art, 1928-1945.”

    The Blanche Touhill Performing Arts Center and Dance St. Louis bring you: Moulin Rouge-The Ballet. Performed by Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Moulin Rouge brings to you the heart-moving story of struggling artist Nathan and Natalie, a dancer, as they experience love in the turn-of-the-century Paris.

     8. An Evening with the Cardinals

    Join other members of the Redbird nation as they interact in Q&A with legendary St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Famers: Lou Brock, Bob Gibson, Mike Matheny, and Mike Shannon. Also a silent auction will be held to benefit the National Children’s Cancer Society.

    9. COCA Family Theater: The Mark of Zorro
