St. Louis on Stage: Music for the Holidays

    We are thrilled to announce that we have partnered with KTVI to treat our viewers to a special music program for the holiday season!


    St. Louis on Stage: Music for the Holidays will bring a celebration of music recorded here in St. Louis featuring many of our area’s most talented performers. You’ll be treated to holiday classics, jazz, blues, folk, opera, rockabilly; in short, a wide variety of the music that makes up a rich social fabric of the St. Louis community.

    The program airs on the over-the-air platform, Fox channel 2.2 Monday-Friday from 1-3 pm and Sundays from 6-8 pm. See below for details about specific performances.

    November 25: St. Louis Philharmonic Holiday Pops Concert 2010


    This festive concert from the Touhill Performing Arts Center features the St. Louis Philharmonic, Kirkwood Children’s Chorale, Lindenwood University Chorus and St. Louis Community College at Meramec Chorus.

    December 2: Horatio Alger Association Special Concert


    The Horatio Alger Association proudly presents Mario Frangoulis in concert, featuring Deborah Myers and George Perris and accompanied by the St. Louis Philharmonic Orchestra with Conductor Dr. Robert Hart Baker.

    December 9: A Tribute to Mae Wheeler

    Presented by the Sheldon Concert Hall and the Bosman Twins, an all-star lineup of St. Louis musicians paid homage to “Lazy Jazz” Mae Wheeler. Hosted by Don Wolff of I Love Jazz, and Bonita Cornute, the event featured some of St. Louis’ top performers.

    December 16: HEC-TV Presents: St. Louis Musicians for Haiti

    Recorded live from the Sheldon Concert Hall, a wide variety of the area’s best and brightest musicians get together for a one-of-a-kind event to benefit Haiti earthquake relief efforts.

    December 23: St. Louis Philharmonic Holiday Pops Concert 2007

    This concert features the UMSL University Singers and Kirkwood Children’s Chorale. The St. Louis Philharmonic plays all of your holiday favorites at the Touhill Performing Arts Center. 

    December 30: State of the Arts: Live and Uncut

    The evening featured an all-star lineup of St. Louis musicians performing a range of American music, interspersed with interviews, video clips and special guests representing the many St. Louis arts organizations participating in the American Arts Experience festival.

    St. Louis on Stage: Music for the Holidays is a compilation of festive performances that St. Louis’ thriving musical community has to offer this time of year. HEC-TV and KTVI hope the program will bring joy and thankfulness to viewers this holiday season.
