The Gallery at The High Low is welcoming artist Emily Elliott for her show “After the Disco.” This exhibition explores two words from the English vocabulary: What if? To Elliott, these words once were anxiety inducing but have become affirmations to endless possibilities of happiness and success. “After the Disco” is an immersive show that captures an anxious brain stuck in a thought loop vs the artist’s brain itself. “My objectives for the installation are three-fold: to allow us collectively to accept ourselves as we are in the present moment, to offer strategies for living with difficulties through humor and grace, and to introduce tools which can help us heal through daily practice,” says Elliott.
