Against All the Odds: A Documentary On The Rise and Precipitous Fall of East St. Louis, Illinois, September 2014

    East St Louis, Illinois was once a thriving and prosperous industrial community on the Mississippi. It also saw the worst race riot in American history, in 1917. The ‘60’s brought the civil rights movement and massive white flight leaving the city in shambles. Now the largest “All Black City” in the country, East St. Louis battles high crime and unemployment as its citizen struggle to create a positive future.
