Artists First for Veterans is a program specifically for current and former Armed Service members, particularly those suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, brain injury or for individuals who require a supportive outlet to process their unique experiences and personal stories.
Overseen by a social worker and a professional artist, the vets have full access to a studio stocked with art supplies so they can choose what they want to express and create. In addition to directly supporting veterans, Artists First for Veterans also has a community outreach component in the form of public art exhibitions. With each sold piece of art, the veteran will earn a financial commission.
