Innovations highlights the FIRST Robotics program with a look at Bishop Dubourg’s Cavaliers at the 2014 Championship and The Boeing Comapany, one of their sponsors. The FIRST organization brings students together from around the world to build robots and compete in a series of games, culminating in an annual Championship. Founder Dean Kamen designed the program to develop the innovators of the future and encourage STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) education. The Championship came to St. Louis in 2011 and will continue here until 2017. You can meet the Cavaliers at the “Show Me” Robotics Games on August 10th, at the Gateway Robotics Challenge on September 12-14th, or at Art in the Park on September 28th.
