Bruno David Gallery’s opens its 12th season by taking a trip to the west coast. Alex Couwenberg ‘s “In Pono” consists of a dual exhibition of paintings and works on paper which reflect his Los Angeles roots. His work pays a visual homage to the art-making styles connected with Los Angeles and Southern California dating back to the 1950’s. Andi Campognone’s curated exhibit, “Los Angeles Paint: Formalism to Street Art,” includes 21 artists who use everything from geometry to experimental colors to figurative works in order to tell the story of L.A. The exhibition runs through October 7, 2017.
