Local volunteers are joining a national effort to make sure every child in the region has a bed to sleep in. “Sleep in Heavenly Peace” is a not-for-profit created to build and deliver beds for the roughly two to three percent of all children who are sleeping on floors, couches or are sharing mattresses on floors. We highlight the Missouri chapter which aims to build beds for hundreds of children this year alone. Any group can participate with volunteers of all ages. The beds are delivered and installed with new mattresses, sheets and blankets for children in need.
