Celebrating Ray Kennedy – John Pizzarelli, Bucky Pizzarelli, Martin Pizzarelli & Konrad Paszkudzki

    Internationally-known jazz pianist & composer Ray Kennedy battled Multiple Sclerosis for decades unbeknownst to bandmates, friends & fans. His death on May 28, 2015, at the age of 58, came as a shock. Since that time the former St. Louisian has been remembered the world-over.

    “A Celebration of the Life & Music of Ray Kennedy” features 7-string guitarist & vocalist John Pizzarelli with Konrad Paszkudski, piano, Martin Pizzarelli, bass and special guest Bucky Pizzarelli on 7-string guitar. Recorded LIVE on July 17, 2015 at the Sheldon Concert Hall in St. Louis this concert honors “one of the gentle giants of Jazz”. Ray’s brilliance & kindness are remembered through music, stories & laughter. To quote Billy Crystal, “Play on Captain Gentle”.
