For the first time ever, St. Louis had an arts researched and culture based mini conference titled, CULTURA, hosted by the Regional Arts Commission. CULTURA gave local artists and arts organizations the power the promote what they do in the community and beyond. From panelists to presentations, musicians, networking and more CULTURA fest was an event like never before. There were special announcements including unreleased findings from two pivotal studies, Americans for the Arts discussed Arts and Economic Prosperity 6, a national study which examines how arts activities impact local economies, and WolfBrown presented the findings from the RAC’s recent Creatives Count study. RAC plans to host more events like this again for the St. Louis community to better understand the importance of investment in the arts because the return is irreplaceable.
