Reliving the Magic of the St. Louis Cardinals in the 1980s with Author Dan O’Neill

The St. Louis Cardinals are one of the most successful franchises in major league baseball.
The 80s were a pivotal time for the organization with the hiring of the unpredictable and brash manager, Whitey Herzog. “Whiteyball” became a term to describe his stunning trades and his base stealing, running team who captured three pennants, went to three World Series, winning one in 1982.
Author and veteran sports writer Dan O’Neill, who covered the Cardinals during that era, has compiled 150 of his favorite and not so well-known moments of that decade into a coffee table book, “Celebration:The Magic of the Cardinal’s in the 1980’s.” O’Neill offers extra insights into the colorful personalities and players of that time.
