Elegy to Connie is a feature-length documentary that evaluates the 2008 shootings at Kirkwood City Hall. This Stop-Motion Animated film is told from the perspective of a group of Connie’s close friends. It was Produced & Directed by Sarah Paulsen, whose mother was directly impacted by the shooting. The events leading up to the shooting, along with the response(s) from the community in the aftermath of it, are carefully are examined, with a meticulously told backstory on who the shooter (Cookie Thornton) was.
