“Feelings of Home: A Need to Simplify” at the High Low Evokes an Atmosphere of Maternal Reflection

In “Feelings of Home: A Need to Simplify,” Hayveyah McGowan pays homage to her grandmothers’ legacies through painting, sculpture, and photography at the High Low Literary Arts Café and Gallery. McGowan used a wide variety of familiar and nostalgic materials to create a sacred space for contemplation filled with reverence and symbolism. The exhibition is available to see by appointment through August 14, 2020. To schedule a visit, go to either the artist’s website at aneedtosimplify.com or the gallery website at www.kranzbergartsfoundation.org.
