Fourth Consecutive Station Excellence Nomination

    The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, Mid-America Chapter has honored HEC-TV with its record fourth consecutive Station Excellence Emmy nomination. The academy announced Tuesday that Station Excellence is just one of eighteen Emmy nominations for the local education, arts and culture station.

    The nominations cover a wide-ranging number of categories including arts/entertainment; education/human interest; special event coverage; and overall station excellence.

    The awards will be handed out in the 37th Emmy Gala on Oct. 5 in St. Louis. HEC-TV was awarded Station Excellence in 2010 and 2011 and the station took home five Emmys in 2012.
