Hawthorn Leadership School for Girls to open in St. Louis

    slider-image-4ST. LOUIS — Hawthorn Leadership School for Girls recently purchased a nearly 57,000-square-foot building located at 1901 N. Kingshighway for $1.75 million. The new charter school, which is Missouri’s first all-girls public school, offers families from diverse backgrounds an opportunity for single-sex education. The school plans to open in the fall of 2015.

    Hawthorn is a college preparatory middle and high school with a focus on science, technology engineering and math (STEM). Hawthorn is currently enrolling sixth and seventh grade students living in the City of St. Louis for fall 2015. For more information, visit http://www.hawthornschool.org.
