It’s a Wonderful Life at Metro Theater Company

The classic holiday film has been reimagined as a “play within a play” by St. Louis playwright John Wolbers. This adaptation is set on Christmas Eve in 1949, where a live radio broadcast of “It’s a Wonderful Life” is set to begin, but the actors are nowhere to be found! The station’s staff come together to save the day in a production that features period costumes and live sound effects from a Foley artist. “It’s a Wonderful Life” is onstage at the Grandel Theater through December 15, 2019.
