On this edition of I Love Jazz, we visit a tribute to MAXJAZZ Records’ Richard McDonnell and hear thoughts and a performance from artists who have recorded for the label and guests, including Carla Cook, Terell Stafford, Tim Warfield, Bruce Barth, Bob DeBoo, and Montez Coleman. On Building Blocks of Jazz, Phil Dunlap explores how technology can assist students of Jazz music. For our Jazz Gem, we remember Arbors Records Mat Domber. We visit a special photography exhibit – “The City at 250” featuring pictures from the St. Louis Region at the Sheldon Art Gallery. And Jazz at the Bistro in St. Louis rips open its walls to expand its footprint – creating a new Center for Jazz Performance and Education that will be among the best in the country.
