Louis Bayard’s new book “Jackie and Me” is a fictional account of the courtship of Jackie Beauvoir and a handsome congressman of Massachusetts, Jack Kennedy, seen through the eyes of Kennedy family friend Lem Billings. The book takes place in the months leading up to the wedding when Jackie was working as the “Inquiring Camera Girl” for a Washington D.C. newspaper. “Jackie and Me” is a story of love, friendship and betrayal and a fresh look beyond the myth of Jack and Jackie.
