Lynne Cox, “Tales of Al, The Water Rescue Dog, The Making of a Super Athlete

Record breaking open water swimmer Lynne Cox is known for beating the fastest swimming times around the world. At the age of 15 she swam the English Channel, she then swam the Bering Strait and changed the relationship between the U.S. and the Soviet Union. One day this swimmer turned author saw a Newfoundland Dog jump out of a helicopter to save someone and she knew she needed to find out more. Her new book “Tales of Al, The Water Rescue Dog, The Making of a Super Athlete” is the inspiring story of Cox’s adventures with these spectacular dogs at famed school the “Italian School of Rescue Dogs” in Italy.
