Max Beckmann: An exiled artist in St. Louis

    German painter Max Beckmann came to America in the mid-1940s and settled in St. Louis, teaching at Washington University School of Fine Arts. His controversial collection can be seen at the St. Louis Art Museum. HEC-TV explores how the exiled artist came to St, Louis and, ultimately, how the museum ended up with one of the largest collections of his works in the world.
