Houska Gallery is currently presenting collections by two St. Louis area painters. In Metra Mitchell’s series entitled “Other Disguises” guests will see figurative works exploring concepts of uncertainty and optimism through extremely detailed imagery and symbolism. And in Jenna Bauer’s “KC Trials” and “Tivoli Dreams” grid painting is used as the framework for an enthralling exploration of color theory and then the colors from those pallets are preserved and carried over to generate spectacular landscape paintings.
