Metro Theater Addresses the Immigration Experience with “New Kid”

Metro Theater’s “New Kid” delves into the immigration experience from the point of view of a child dealing with adapting to life in the United States. The play also addresses bullying, the conflicts often encountered in a culturally diverse environment, being an outsider, and making friends. Written by Canadian playwright Dennis Foon, “New Kid” opens doors of discussion with children about topics very relevant to their lives today. The play will tour schools and community centers from September 19, 2016 through November 23, 2016.
