Missouri creating new education guidelines

There’s some good news for Missouri parents who are fed up with the Common Core learning method; Missouri schools are getting rid of it.

The State Board of Education has approved new goals for what children should learn in math, English, social studies and science. The proposal was developed by groups of teachers and parents over the past year.

Those changes go into effect next school year and will replace Common Core.

The Board of Education is also adding cursive writing to all elementary school programs.

The entire proposal is available online here (PDF).
