The Boys and Girls Club of Greater St. Louis opened a Teen Center of Excellence — one of the first of its kind — in November 2019. The 26,000 square-foot facility is located in Ferguson, Missouri, less than a mile from where Michael Brown was shot and killed in 2014. Open to youth ages 12-18, it offers a gymnasium, innovation center, game room, theater, performing arts space, fitness center, music production studio, teaching kitchen, and more.
