New Software for Drug Companies to Make Drugs Cheaper, Faster and Better

    A researcher with Washington University in St. Louis has spent two decades advancing computer-aided drug design methods. Then in recent years, an advancement related to video game technology may help revolutionize the drug industry. Drug Design Methodologies says its software will provide drug companies the ability to develop drugs cheaper, faster and better by improving calculations of drug-target binding. Drug Design Methodologies says its software identifies the most promising drug candidates, eliminating problematic compounds that could have off-target effects. By doing this, the company claims to accelerate and de-risk drug development pipelines in both pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries while significantly lowering costs.
