Nicole Miller’s “A Sound, a Signal, the Circus”

Now through July 25th, artist and filmmaker Nicole Miller explores the Black experience through sound, moving image, and laser-light animation by way of multimedia installation at the Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum. “A Sound, A Signal, The Circus” takes excerpts from conversations with a variety of artists and marries them with visual companion pieces. Accompanied by live performance by St. Louis artists on May 14th for a Kemper Live event, Miller’s exhibit comes to life and provides a deeper understanding of sensory expression and rehearsal-as-performance through the Black perspective.
