We’ve all seen music festivals, but probably not one quite like Porchfest. The event, which popped up in St. Louis’ Skinker-DeBaliviere neighborhood this May, puts the stage, quite literally, at the front door. There were thirteen venues this year. All of them are the homes of people like Derek and Billie Morgan. The couple was hosting the Bottoms Up Blues Gang in their front yard, with neighbors and others from the area stopping in and out all afternoon. This is the second year they’ve done it, seeing it as a way to meet those who live around them.
