Popculture and the Immigrant Experience mix in “Autobiography of a Brown Buffalo II” at the High Low

The coming of a story, “Autobiography of a Brown Buffalo” by Oscar Zeta Acosta, centers on the experiences of a Chicano in the 1960s and questions of identity in America. José Guadalupe Garza has reimagined a sequel in the form of appropriated and manipulated images from popular culture that give a glimpse into the experiences of those in the immigrant community. His pieces range from the abstract to the political. “Autobiography of a Brown Buffalo II” will be available to see both by appointment and during regular public café hours. The exhibit runs until August 28, 2021. For more information, go to www.kranzbergartsfoundation.org.
