Prime Beauty, a Reflection on the Ferguson Aftermath at Kranzberg Arts Gallery

St. Louis artist and professor at Washington University Bryce Robinson just installed a collection of works called “Prime Beauty”. It’s a grouping of artwork that he has put together in response to the media response to the killing of Mike Brown in Ferguson, Missouri by former police officer Darren Wilson. The individual pieces and the work collectively do not deal directly with the shooting and subsequent police action and civil unrest; however, the works loosely focus on how the town of Ferguson is and was more than the local, national, and international press portrayed it in the eyes of the native, Mr. Robinson. The collection will be on display at The Kranzberg Arts Gallery from January 20th through February 25th, 2017.
