Ruby Foster, World War II Cadet Nurse

Cadet Nurses helped save the country’s healthcare system from collapse during World War II. Ruby Foster, now 94 years old, was just 16 when she joined the program and got paid by the government to learn to become a nurse. She was a hero on the Homefront. Eventhough these nurses had to sign up for the duration of the war, they are not considered veterans but Ruby’s best friend Vickie is determined to change that.
