Schankman’s St. Louis: An Inspiring 90-Year-Old Tutor

    For more than 20 years, a 4′ 10″ woman known as Miss E. Laine has been tutoring students at Mason Ridge Elementary School in the Parkway District. In December, she is turning 90, but has no plans to give up teaching anytime soon. Her experience and forthright technique inspires the kids she tutors as well as other teachers, who learn from watching how she changes the lives of students who need a little extra help to succeed.
