Sneak Peek: Impact January 2013

    HEC-TV takes pride in creating high-quality programs with thought-provoking elements and the upcoming episode of Impact is no exception!

    The stories our producers have been working on for the program feature people and organizations that truly make a difference in the St. Louis community. The show airs in January and for the next few weeks I am excited to share previews of the program segments.

    The Community Arts Collaborative helps homeless men at the Peter & Paul Community Center in an effort to stop the cycle of homelessness through the arts. The “collabARTive” program is designed to raise awareness about homelessness and to give each individual an opportunity to document their journey from homelessness to independent living through a variety of artistic mediums.

    The upcoming Impact segment features fascinating interviews that show how the Community CollabARTive program empowers the homeless community. Through dance, poetry, theater and much more, individuals are able to build relationships, have fun, and improve their self perceptions.

    A Show of Strength is a documentary about the Community CollabARTive program that premiered at the History Museum last month. You can watch the trailer for the video through the hyperlink below.
