St. Louis author Sarah Kendzior documents Donald Trump’s rise to power in “Hiding in Plain Sight”

New York Times bestselling author Sarah Kendzior is on a quest for the truth. The anthropologist delves into the circumstances and people who helped Donald Trump become president.
In her latest book, “Hiding in Plain Sight, The Invention of Donald Trump and the Erosion of America,” the journalist names the power brokers over the past forty years, domestic and foreign, who are culpable, including the national, mainstream media.
Kendzior describes Trumps rise to power since the 1980’s as calculated. “It was visible without being seen, influential without being named, ubiquitous without being overt,” she writes.
Kendzior also offers her views of living in the Midwest and her observations as an academic researcher studying dictatorships in the former Soviet Union.
