St. Louisan, Now Turned New Yorker Returns For A Homecoming Performance At The Chesterfield Wine & Jazz Festival

    The Third Annual Chesterfield Wine & Jazz Festival, presented by Morgan Stanley and exclusive media partner HEC-TV, returns to the Chesterfield Amphitheater (631 Veterans Drive) on Saturday, June 27th from 3 pm to 10 pm.

    The Chesterfield Wine & Jazz Festival recognizes St. Louis as the true birthplace of Jazz while showcasing the best in Contemporary, Straight-Ahead and Fusion Jazz. The Midwest’s finest outdoor Jazz festival is free to attend and offers an exciting lineup of many of our own world-class Jazz performers such as, Bach to the Future, Tony Viviano, Feyza Eren, and The Bob DeBoo Quintet. Closing out the festival at 9 pm is St. Louis native, Eric Person accompanied by Meta-Four, featuring Ptah Williams, Darrell Mixon and Gary Sykes.

    Person is among the finest saxophone players of our generation, appearing on over 30 recordings and touring with a wide range of artists. Person’s experience with Dave Holland, McCoy Tyner, Chico Hamilton, Ronald Shannon Jackson, the World Saxophone Quartet, and John Hicks, have all contributed greatly to his stellar alto and soprano sound and his skills as an arranger and composer. He brings his many years of living in New York and touring with the greats in a special set of music selected for this not-to-be-missed homecoming performance.

    The festival also features a variety of delicious wine, as well as a selection of tasty food from local restaurants. This year’s festival will see the addition of visual art vendors exhibiting their work for sale on Vendors Row within the festival area along side various merchant and promotional booths. Wine and painting establishment, Pinot’s Palette will be offering self-guided painting sessions on-site throughout the event. The evening will end with a fireworks display, making the festival a great place to bring the entire family.

    No outside food, beverages, containers or coolers will be allowed in the amphitheater.
