This episode covers five short films all made, start to finish, in 48 hours. Thirty-six teams competed in this competition sponsored locally be Cinema St. Louis. All films had to have: a towel, a character “Sam or Samantha Cantwell, Chili Contest Winner ,”and the line “We need to talk.” Each team then drew a genre and wrote, shot, and edited their film in 48 hours. Frames features the first and third place winners; five very different kinds of films, all under 8 minutes.
