The Kendrick Smith Jazz Jam Sessions are an exciting, weekly occurrence hosted at the Gallery Pub, a family-owned bar in South City. Led by the Kendrick Smith Quartet, these open jam sessions provide unique entertainment to patrons as well as a safe environment for young musicians to test their chops. These jazz jams, which began under the previous business, Thurman’s in Shaw, have been frequented by many big names in jazz as well as local big names. From green jazz students to seasoned jazz veterans, the Kendrick Smith Jazz Jams provide a great place for learning, musicianship, and fellowship.
