The Saint Louis Art Museum launches its 114th iteration of “Currents” with the work of Matt Saunders. The multimedia installation plays with form and content, drawing audiences into an engaging and sometimes disorienting experience. Saunders demonstrates an impressive range using media such as photography, video, and copper-plate etchings to convey his message, while tying it all together with his skills as a painter. Taking inspiration from the architecture and art at the museum, he crafted the works on display specifically for SLAM. “Currents 114” runs through February 4, 2018.
