The Sheldon is an artistic focal point for the city of St. Louis, and not just because it offers a wide variety of performances and features an exquisite newly installed hanging garden (which you can lean more about here: https://hecmedia.org/posts/steward-family-plaza-at-the-sheldon). The Sheldon also houses six different art galleries. Currently on display are Mississippi River Views, Sun Smith-Forêt: Riverwork Project, Principal Perspectives: The Work of Phil Durham, Benjamin Pierce: Fairgrounds, East Side Renaissance, and St. Louis, A Musical Gateway: Africa.
