The St. Louis Motordrome

In the early 20th Century there was a very popular and dangerous sport called board track racing where competitors would race their motorcycles around a track called a motordrome. In 1912, St. Louis built a motordrome track claiming to be the steepest and fastest in the nation. This dangerous combination lead to near pandemonium on opening day at the St. Louis Motordrome.
