The Climatron is a geodesic dome greenhouse at the Missouri Botanical Garden, housing some of the most unique tropical plants from around the world. People come from all over the country to see these rare specimens, but what they don’t normally get to see is the maintenance that keeps this indoor rainforest running. Every year a crew of horticulture specialists climb up to the uppermost parts of the dome to trim the exotic trees back so they don’t grow against he windows and block the sun from reaching the lower growing plants.
