Uncovering Time and Change in St. Louis: Exploring Counter Public’s Civic Art Exhibition

    Counter Public is a civic exhibition that installs contemporary art all over the streets of St. Louis City for three months every three years in order to reimagine civic infrastructures towards generational change. This year, art stretches along and off the street of Jefferson beginning at Sugarloaf Mound and ending near the Griot Museum. There are 30 artists involved this year considering the entanglements of time in St. Louis. Our city’s complex histories, present state, and the possible future outcomes.
