Wearable Particulate Matter (PM) Sensors Measuring Air Quality Linked to Smartphone App

Washington University in St. Louis is home to one of the world’s top aerosol and air quality laboratories led by Pratim Biswas, PhD. The aerosol science and engineering achievements now extend to the development of next-generation particulate matter (PM) sensors. Researchers say the new sensor in development provides more accurate readings than PM sensors currently on the market. The technology can be linked to a smartphone or tablet, providing air quality alerts and information.
