The newest book from acclaimed presidential historian Doris Kearns Goodwin is both an homage to her late husband and a dive into the history of the 1960s and 1970s. The book “An Unfinished Love Story” began when she and her husband Dick Goodwin began going through hundreds of boxes of his papers. Dick Goodwin was a speechwriter for John Kennedy, Robert Kennedy, and Lyndon B. Johnson. The book–part memoir and part history– became the last adventure the long-married Goodwins would share.
