March signals new growth and change with the arrival of spring. Temps are warming, and trees are blooming as we try to shake off the winter doldrums.
There is a similar theme in astrology during March. The month’s two zodiac signs are Pisces (Mar 1-20) and Aries (Mar 21-31). While the Pisces season is known for introspection and intuition, the latter part of the month, the Aries season, is associated with courage and energy. This astrological transition seems to correlate with the physical seasonal changes.
Astrologists peg those born under the Pisces zodiac sign to be intuitive, creative, artistic, emotional, compassionate, imaginative, and empathetic – while those born under the Aries zodiac sign are passionate, courageous, determined, independent, pioneering, bold, competitive, and born leaders.
Many famous people were born in March. From poets and politicians to authors, artists, and more, let’s see how the zodiac signs and their associated traits match up.
Better known as Dr. Suess, Theodore Geisel was an American author who wrote 46 beloved children’s books, including The Cat in the Hat. Undeniably imaginative and creative, Dr. Seuss was seemingly a perfect fit for his Pisces sign.
Amanda Gorman is another Pisces – and a poet, perhaps most well-known for reciting her original work at the 2021 inauguration of President Joe Biden. She became the first National Youth Poet Laureate in the United States. Gorman clearly aligns with many of her zodiac traits, including compassion and emotional sensitivity.
Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio came from humble beginnings and was born in Puerto Rico. The rapper, singer, and songwriter got his stage name, Bad Bunny, after posting a childhood photo of himself in a bunny costume. He has earned global recognition with multiple Grammy Awards and many other accolades, including being the most-streamed artist for several years. This talented artist is another Pisces.
Theoretical physicist, Albert Einstein, was born in Germany under the Pisces sign. His introspection and intuition helped him formulate the Theory of Relativity. This iconic genius was one of the most famous creative thinkers.
Fred Rogers was a TV personality and educator who shared his neighborhood with countless children for several decades. His television show, Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood, aired from 1968 to 2001, focusing on child welfare and community. He was another empathetic, dreamy, and compassionate Pisces.
The March zodiac sign switches to Aries later in the month. Harry Houdini was born under this astrological sign. Perhaps the most famous escape artist in history, he embodied the Aries attributes of courage and determination.
Quentin Tarantino is a highly acclaimed producer, director, and screenwriter with a unique filmmaking style. Another Aries, the astrological traits of independence and self-confidence come across in this work.
Jasmine Cockett is a lawyer and politician born in St. Louis who currently represents Dallas’ 30thCongressional district. An Aries through and through, Crockett is outspoken and known for her fiery energy.
Vincent Van Gogh was a Dutch artist who struggled during his life and became famous only after his death. He broke the norms with his unique style of painting and intense use of color. His pioneering spirit and passion were distinctive Aries traits.
Interesting, huh? While astrological signs can’t predict personality or a life’s outcome, they can be a fascinating way to interpret experiences.
