Drawing inspiration from the Russian philosophical and cultural movement of Cosmism, Andréa Stanislav has transformed the Bruno David Gallery into haven of art exploring the nature of the universe and humankind’s place within it. Both her two dimensional art and her sculptures draw heavily on themes of the space race, animal symbolism, the hope of immortality, and the nature of death. “Cosmist Reconstructions” will be available to the public through January 20, 2018.
