Jeanne Trevor-Jazz Singer

Jazz singer Jeanne Trevor came to St Louis in the 1960’s via New York and Los Angeles. It was her cousin who told her to leave the competitive bigger cities and come audition at the then vibrant Gaslight Square in St. Louis. She did and while busy entertaining she fell in love with the city and has made it her home. Jeanne even had a stint in local radio and had roles in productions at the Muny Opera. In 2008, she received a Lifetime Achievement Award from Grand Center’s Visionary Awards. Now nearly 80-years-old, she still performs.
