CheckTheQ is a St. Louis-based startup offering airports and other venues technology to track and communicate wait times. The company created sensors that anonymously track mobile devices. The sensors collect data and track how long it takes someone to get from point A to point B, such as from the beginning of an airport’s security checkpoint to the end. Airports can use the information to communicate wait times with passengers. CheckTheQ claims its smartphone-based solution can increase revenue opportunities and transform customer experiences. According to CheckTheQ, the sensors do not collect personal information.
