“Antarctica Forever” is a video featuring the incredible beauty of the seventh continent in photographs by Dr. Charles D. Schmitz set to the music of Dr. Barbara Harbach with video production by Dr. Elizabeth Schmitz. Featured are Jerry Marty, who built the New South Pole Station and his wife, Elena, as well as Colonel Ronnie Smith, who commanded Operation Deep Freeze in Antarctica, its landscapes, icebergs, sunsets, water, animals, and life accompanied by classical composition, “After Forever” from Gateway Symphony for Orchestra. As part of their research study, “In Search of Great Marriages Around the World,” the Doctors Schmitz traveled aboard the National Geographic Explorer to Antarctica.
