    Innovations explores and examines science and technology and all things related that occur in and around St. Louis. On this episode we offer a retrospective look at the International FIRST Robotics Competition which took place here in St Louis. Known as the Superbowl of Smarts, this grassroots organization manifested into an international competitions and is now producing our country’s future innovators. Also, a story that will make hearts sing. The Melody Valve developed by Dr. Philip Bonhoffer reduces or eliminates the number of surgeries heart valve recipients have to undergo. Finally, we sit down for a one-on-one interview with Senator Claire McCaskill and hear why she thinks science is so important to the growth and strength of the region.
