Something in the Water Trailer

In the late 1960′s and early 1970′s, in the midst of the hippie and youth subculture, a unique set of circumstances electrified progressive rock in St. Louis. KSHE radio was one of the first album-oriented rock stations in the country; crowds gathered at the Mississippi River Festival to hear the likes of The Who, Joni Mitchell, Tina Turner and more, all for two dollars a ticket. And business savvy promoters brought huge concerts such as Superjam to Busch Stadium.

Who knows why these circumstanced came together here? To paraphrase Radio Rich Dalton, it could be that we really are a gateway city. Then again, it could be something in the water.
